 Hello all,

So I know my LAST post was about my CATS ships, but I still bear no qualms about now posting all my crossover ships, of which I have many. For this, I am assuming CATS characters are more human than cat, allowing them to be with humans. Just to make things easier.

Frank-N-Furter/Bombularina - You can just see it! He's in love with the theater, with dancing and decadence, and to him there is nothing more important than a good time. She is the living embodiment of one, with her flirting and dancing and free-spirit. However, she is one of the Gumbi trio, meaning she also has a caring, soft nature. She would show him how being with one person instead of many is a good thing, and soften him to an extent where he is no longer such a villain. He would show her the joys of the theater. A match made not in heaven, but in the Underworld I should think.

Harley Quinn/Macavity - Do I even need to explain? He's a twisted villain with little sense of drama, she is pure drama. They would feed off of each others evil and would go on to do much worse things, only this time with flair!

Emcee/Victoria/Rumpleteazer - Going by Emcee's "Two Ladies" philosophy. He lives in a Cabaret club, and his live revolves around it. Anyone he is with would have to be performer material. Rumpletezer not only has a playful, impish character he can identify with, but has lived in the circus for a long while. She has been a clown, acrobat, tightrope walker and a quick changer, She would be a favorite at the club, and would be not only Emcees partner but also fierce friend, as the two revel in stardom together. Victoria would be like the lead from Moulin Rouge, an innocent who adores the stage. She would perform with less frequency, but her beauty would make her a favorite, and so would her talent. She would show Emcee the wonders of quiet and softness, something he is not familiar with, and he would show her all the escapism of the Kit Kat Club. Rumpleteazer would look out for Victoria and protect her from the true extent of the madness at the club, and Victoria would teach her how to be a little more of a lady. They would be like sisters almost.

Rum-Tum Tugger/Luna Lovegood - When you think about it, they are actually quite similar. Both do not care what others think of them, yet strangely enough draw people in. He would show off to her, but her queer blunt manner would take him aback and he would be fascinated. She would at first treat him like a friend, opening up to him as she does others, and showing him the wonders of imagination and believing. With her he would be just as cocky, but tender and not arrogant. He would show her the balance between her quiet life-style and showmanship. She, being so talented, would turn out to be a great singer, and he would teach her. It would be a relationship that took a while, but would be worth it.

Mistofelees/________ - I can't cross fandom him, because I only see him with Jemima. I was thinking Joanna from Sweeney Todd, but it still doesn't feel right. Sorry Misto, I'm afraid you're staying in the Junkyard! :)

 Hello all

So I have even fewer regrets. I just watched all of Cats The Musical and realized I still know all the words. So, as a little self-indulgence, here are the ships I thought best throughout the film:

Jellylorum/Gus - This is very nearly canon, but she is a little younger. I just think they are adorable though! Him, haunted by the ghosts of a past he can barely remember and her, ready to pull him out of the darkness should he need it.

Jemima/Mistofelees - So, I know most see him with Victoria, but really? Just because they look good together. Mistofelees is not shy but he is quiet, a kind of understated gentlemen that not many acknowledge because of his mediocrity. I get the impression that until his magic, not many people care about him, as he is past kittenhood but not yet an adult tom. Jemima however is just as spiritual and soft-spoken as him, and if they were together they would be able to see the beauty in everything and be complete absorbed in the wonder and magic in everything.

Rumpleteazer/Rum-Tum Tugger - He's a rock god who just can't make up his mind, and she's a petty theif with a penchant for raising Cain. She would interest him with a life of danger, something he flirts with himself. He would show her the showmanship of being a lovable rouge. They would finally have someone to identify with, and their life would be full of adventure and scrapes...

Demeter/Skimbleshanks - Demeter has a past with Macavity. Now she is skittish and paranoid. Skimble would bring into her life the simple comfort and routine she craves. There would be no danger, just pure affection and light humor, allowing her to relax for the first time in a long time.

Mungojerry/Bomularina - Its simple. She's flirtatious and dangerous, teasing all those she comes into contact with, and although he's a villain, he's rather awkward and goofy. He would crush on her for a long time and would be too scared to say anything, and she would joke around and make him blush. But she alone would appreciate his irony and his thieving lifestyle, and would boost his confidence around others. He would teach her all the tricks of the trade, and show her how there is more than one way to have fun.

Victoria/Alonzo - I really do not know. I do however know that she is Mistofelees' best friend, and does not at all like Alonzo. I think perhaps, maybe Alonzo, because although he flirts his duties always come first, and he is very protective. She would draw his eye and they would fall slowly, and he would never look at any other cat after her.

So there you are, just my opinion of course.

 Hello all.

I feel as though I have just feasted on glitter and washed it down with grease-paint. For, dear people, I have just finished my voyage through the most decadent musicals known to me, and it was glory. Pure darkly delicious joy, mixed with brash colors and bold statements, where lines are blurred and so are opinions . Its like a separate world, one that exists to parody and twist the rational daylight hours like carnival glass.

I started with Chicago, then I watched Moulan Rouge, then as an act of pure self indulgence I watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Lastly, I watched Caberet. There are so many parallels between Frank and Emcee. Both are impish characters that live entirely upon the stage, whether they are literally upon it or not. They are the dictators of their own little kingdom, masters of their dens of sins. They live to please, yet are utterly and selfishly absorbed within their universe of glitter, and their skewed morals allow them to do anything in the name of music and dancing. Love and lust, hate and death, all are twisted together in a web of ultimate theater, at which both sit at the heart, pulling threads to bring the object of their desire closer. All in the name of showmanship. Yes, these too make-up wearing marauders are all that is great and terrible about the world, and I adore them for it.

In Chicago, it is the same. Stardom is loved and revered so much that even tasting it or having it taken away can drive one to bloodlust. Corruption and sequinned beauty are worshiped above all else. As is in Moulan Rouge, nothing is as it appears, everyone is a character. And yet, with this facade in place, everyone is more real, more tangible, more themselves than ever before. It just just goes to show the epic power of the stage.

And now? No song, as I can't find a video that I am allowed to embed. No matter, I beg of you still to listen to the songs, as they are beyond divine!

Dear higher being of preference, Pottermore is fickle mistress. We wait months, and eventually convince ourselves that we hate all that is the website and that it will be awful when it is finally released, and then when it IS I gush like the pathetic fangirl I try not to be. Potterheads, I highly recommend it, but just for the record, I STILL can't wait for MyHogwarts in June! I got into Ravenclaw! I am exceedingly thrilled. If anyone wishes to duel me/add me, my name is CasteFeather21777. See you there, I suppose.

I should also tell you all that the newest short story is progressing more or less at ease, despite me having no idea where it is headed at the moment. I wish I could tell you learning Mandarin is going as smoothly, but I can't really because it isn't. I don't appear to have the knack, but I am persevering. Hopefully, I will get somewhere at SOME point in the near future...

Oh, and guys? You will never guess what I am doing in the summer. I  don't know whether to be terrified or ecstatic, but I am attending this bad boy:

Yes, I'm aware this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but everyone else attending (from the look of the promotion) are far beyond me in both skill and confidence, and I do not know how I am going to measure up. What if they try and make me sing solo? What if all of them are "those kids from the ballet school"? What if they expect me to be able to do ballet?(which I've never done ever in my life and don't plan to!)
To say the least I am frightened, but how bad can it be? Plus, it's only a week, and some of it (Like the end performance) could be so GOOD!

I'm in two minds....

Another thing I'm going to see this summer...

AMERICAN IDIOT LIVE! I'm on no uncertain terms for this, I am very excited indeed. I like Greenday, and I adore musicals, so I am going to have the time of my life!

But enough about my summer, it seems so far away right now to be real.I suppose I shall have to trudge through the rest of the year first, no? What are your plans?

"My Invention will turn people into mindless sheep"
"I'm curious to how you'll know it works, I assume it's mainly a cosmetic change"

My favorite quote, well one of them, ever. Thought I'd open with it, no reason why.
Anyway...

....Has there ever been a film (And I'm sure there must be a famous one somewhere, and I've just overlooked it) where a likable villain, or an interesting villian, actually wins completely. Not in the Megamind sense, where they kind of just turn good themselves, or in the Little Shop Of Horrors way where it's a cliff hanger, where they triumph and the hero fails. Not even in the Rocky Horror sense, when the good guys win, but they are portrayed as villainous (Which I suppose is better, a little). If anyone knows of a film like this, I'd like to know, they're fun.

Just to say, many of the so-called evils are in my opinion not so. Frank-N-Furter is supposedly a villain, he's not. Really not. Sweeney Todd, Macavity, Jack Sparrow, none of them are. I suppose the Joker is, but at least he's interesting, and at least penguin and Harley are funny. See if the bad guys are just mindless thugs and criminals, it takes the fun out. They have to have flair.

So Yes, if you know of any, please let me know. Now I shall love you and leave you. I did have a much longer post going on about my Joker obsession and bands I am going to see quite soon, but it deleted itself.

So now, I give you the song I am now hooked on. This is what happens when you listen to Elaine Paige's radio show. I know, I know, it's wierd. But come on, admit it....It's pretty amazing. Good luck getting it out of your head!
