I agree totally, and reading books I shouldn't have may have made me slightly morbid, but then again it might not have. I just don't like it when it is used along The Hunger Games in representing the genre. The Hunger Games is about standing up for what is right, and Twilight is about....what? Waiting for a guy after he admits he's dangerous, nearly committing suicide while he's away, flirting with the one guy he hates then letting him get you pregnant, involved with the law and nearly killing you? No, I see no similarity. And yeah, most fairy-tales are much worse, but they're acceptable because of their age (because that's plausible?)

Yeah, I have read Twilight by the way, and they're okay as a guilty pleasure, but not as the scapegoat of a genre. :D
