May. 7th, 2012 04:14 pm Hello all,
I did a charity walk yesterday, which went beautifully. Eight and a Half miles of hills, fields and fearsome sun, but I wasn't beaten. I suffered a few casualties though. I was dressed as a "Clockwork Cowgirl" (Steampunk for the win!) and I broke a platform, which wasn't fun as I had to walk on it for three miles. Also, there were bees. I would happily walk around for free, but face bees, that is true sacrifice for the cause. I was badly sunburnt too, but I'm happy!
The money hasn't been counted yet, but I think we're nigh on 2000. That brings the total we have raised in memory of my Auntie (since she died two years ago :( ) to 27, 000 pounds. That is the most anyone in the charity has raised in memory of someone in that time, so we're very proud. It was a good day and a great cause and brilliant memories. I can't wait for next year!
And of course, the music x
